Topic: extruder calibration

ok so i'm currently calibrating the extruder and i'm pulling about 23% to much plastic, i went filament settings> extrusion multiplier> 1. i tried changing it to .82 and it didn't change how much extra i was pulling at all! i even set it to .5 and that didn't change it either! i don't really know how to use adrunio or anything so i'd like to just use the "fudge factor"if possible, i have a hunch this is causing some of the little issues i'm having with my prints...

I believe there is a gcode for changing extruder steps/mm, don't have it handy on this computer... but I am sure a search could turn it up smile

In fact I think it is mentioned in Ian's video.... or one of the calibration videos on the wiki page....

oh just kidding! i just found the eeprom settings and entered my change in there and it worked! i actually changed it mid print and you can literally see the improvement from the spot it started slowing down how much plastic was going in!
