Topic: Z-Leveling

To put things simply, I have no idea how to properly set the distance between the print bed and the nozzle. When attempting to print, my nozzle scrapes the side of the print bed upon entering the printing area and continues to scrape along the top of the print bed while printing. I'm not exactly sure how close I want the nozzle to be to the bed, but I obviously don't want them scraping up against each other...

Any tips on leveling the print bed? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Z-Leveling

if it is scraping then the printhead is too low(bed too high)

The best way I have found to level the bed is start at the back... nearest the center back adjustment screw, set your ztab from there or set the screw to match ztab either will work using a piece of paper or as others prefer a business card just move the bed down then move the printhead in place then hit home Z and adjust as necessary to get the gap so you can barely feel it scraping as it is slid around.

Next move to the front by lowering the bed a few mm's then move the printhead to next to the left front screw and place whatever you are using as a thickens indicator between the nozzle and bed and hit z home... now repeat the step for right front and you are good to go.

Thanks for the tip. I'll be sure to give it another go with everything you've just said in mind.
