My word!
My printer arrived yesterday as I was walking out the door to go hunting. Fortunately the deer were stupid and plentiful and I was able to come home.
Order date: 05/29
Inv No: 778
Order No: 1702
SN: 1192
Just a note, when I order I read it came with a small spool of filament. When it arrived with a handful of filament I reread the order info. It says it's enough to print a tiny object, not sure it was that clear just how small the spool is when I ordered but I might have missed it. I'm glad to have my printer, extremely over joyed, but don't get caught with your pants down like me and order a real spool before your printer arrives.

Welcome to the family, and I agree with you make sure you order some filament, mine had about 3 inches sticking out of the extruder and that was all. And I didn't even get the cool toothbrush that Ian got. haha

Date Ordered: 07/06/2012If you don't mind telling us, did you get any type of expedited shipping? I ask because if not, Solidoodle somehow made it through a months worth of orders in 2 days.
I think it was ordered on the 7th of June not on the 6th of July... Sensible European way of writing dates, not the crazy US style
That makes sense hahaha. Being a mid july order i was kind of hoping they got through june in 2 days though ![]()
Yeah I was hoping to get mine in time to make some gifts for my niece and nephews. I already have 6 spools of plastic in a variety of colors s i'm ready to go i even have soem fo the stuff i want to print/ now i just need the printer
I'm order number 4186 and I ordered about 6 weeks ago. I got confirmation from support that it would be delivered in 8-10 weeks, but these forums and other sites make it seem like 8-10 weeks is unrealistic. I just want to know when I can expect it, like a realistic date. I'd even prefer an overestimate of like 20 weeks have it come in 16 or something like that. I know you guys are doing your best, but I'd like some info if I can get some.
just an update .. mine arrived in my hot little paws this morning, undamaged. it took me 30 minutes of waking up and having coffee and rearranging furniture before I was brave enough to unpack it ![]()
serial 1016
TY solidoodle, I am in love ..
as a test I changed nothing and printed straight out of the box, first with extruder 190, bed 80 .. it lifted at layer 12 or so, went to suggested 200/100 .. no lift, great print.
this thing doth rock.
That sounds awesome, I want mine now
. Must be patient....

19-20 weeks is a reasonable estimate. It's possible you could get yours earlier with increased production speeds and lower demand.
This is what other people have waited: http://www.soliwiki.com/Printers_Shipping
While waiting for my solidoodle to arrive (3 weeks or so to shipment), I collected the data from the blog posts about production. I did not try to extrapolate any formula, but here's a plot of the number of printers shipped, and average week production in the intervals between updates, over time.
The interesting fact is that the production never slowed down (even despite the redesign), and in fact always increased, jumping from 50 to 100 printers per week in the second half of September. It never reached the levels that they were hoping to reach at the beginning (150 printers/week) but it could be worse. The latest data in fact shows a weekly production slightly above 100 (107).
I've criticized Solidoodle about their communication and PR skills (or lack thereof), but on a production aspect they are indeed working hard and doing well. Well done guys, thanks!

We should be reaching that 150 quote this week. Our foreman is ambitious to push out 200 a week in the near future.

Wow. I ordered two spools of filament along with my order -- order number 2564 -- and nothing has shipped. While I can't do much with the filament without the printer, it's kind of annoying that they are clearly processing orders out-of-order. Good for the folks who are receiving something, but frustrating for those of us getting no love. Several weeks ago I asked for an update on my order and was told it would start in two weeks. Last week I asked and was told it would be three weeks. I'm getting more concerned by the day that an order I placed in early July might not arrive in time for *Christmas*.
Not to keep beating a dead horse, but when I first went to place the order, their website said it was "In Stock". Then after a week or two when my order was stuck in "Processing", I emailed support and was told that I read it wrong -- that "In Stock" actually meant it would be 8 to 10 weeks. And we all know what "8 to 10 weeks" has really meant...

Filaments on it's way. We got rushed on filament orders - we've been a popular source all of a sudden.
Dont try getting a refund with Solidoodle. Today is day 7 of that wait lol. Im just about to push the button on a charge back. Nothing with Solidoodle has been on the up and up so far in my case. Shady company with shady dealings IMO.

We're sorry things have been slow. We've got a back log of cancel requests - We'll get right on it.
I placed my order on 7/23. While the 6-8 week delivery quote came and went a long time ago, each time I have sent a query about an expected delivery date, (3 times) I got a polite answer, albiet vague. I think they are doing the best they can. My last quote (as of 10/23) was for 3 more weeks. I sincerely hope they can meet this making my unit arrive mid November. Fingers (and eyes, toes, legs, etc.) crossed.

Ill give it till 5pm central time. If i dont see something by then I will initiate a chargeback in the morning. My bank already has the info just waiting on me to give the go ahead.
The part that bothers me is that i paid via Paypal and i get an email saying Paypal is holding it up. No they are not. If you guys sent the refund it is instantaneous! Ive been on both sides of a refund with Paypal and Ive never seen one take more then 30 minutes.
I understand this is a start up but I am a customer not an investor. Of course being an early adopter to any product is a pain to a degree but I have no product to go through those early adopter pains lol. I paid for a product and did not receive it in a timely manner. I waited several weeks after said deadline. When I still did not receive it of course i am going to make a move to retrieve my money.
To me and a lot of others it looks like a company that can not be trusted at all. This could have been avoided by saying from the press of the order button we are experiencing a back log right now and it is currently taking xx weeks. You did not. You listed it as in stock and 8-10 weeks.
If i told one of my customers one thing and it took double they would most likely be demanding their money back.
James
If the refund via paypal is funded by their bank, it will take 3-7 days because of how Paypal does it. They (Paypal) treat it like an e-check, which takes a while to clear. If the refund was funded by their available balance, it would be instant. So it all comes done to if they had enough of a paypal balance to fund your refund or not.

Yep, it was a June order. And that's why "Pi Day" is celebrated twice: March 14 (3/14) and July 22 (22/7).
