Topic: has anyone tried printing onto foam core (related to printing cold)

I was wondering if anyone has tried this.  I ran across mention of it on a reprap wiki with printing hdpe.  The foam keeps the filament from cooling too quickly and gives the plastic a chance to stick.  Apparently once it's cool it can be peeled away from the foam core with no damage.

Where can you find HDPE filament? or PET for that matter? I would love to print using post consumer HDPE/PET!!! Filament producers out there (looking at you, Filastruder folks), I would gladly purchase this!
