Topic: extruder fan design that fits the Solidoodle 3 extruder

Hi anyone that knows of a extruder fan design that fit to the stock extruder on the Solidoodle 3.
It has the square hot end.

Any ideas.

Have finally gotten my SD3 to work as it should. Made my own enclosure which turned out great.

SD3 w/ mods:
Glass bed with QU-BD heat pad upgrade, threadless ballscrew w/ 8mm smooth rod, spectra line belt replacement, lawsy MK5 extruder, Lawsy replacement carriage, E3D hotend, Ramps 1.4 w/ reprap discount controller, DRV8825 drivers, 12v 30A PS, Acrylic case, Overkill Y-idlers, Filament alarm, Extruder fan + more.

Found quit many extruder fan designs on thingiverse but unclear if they work with stock extruder (acrylic see through one) and square hot end.

@2n2r5: in the comment on that extruder fan someone is asking for a mod to fit the square hot end so I understand it as it does not fit squat hot end. Can someone verify that it works? Also does it mount to the acrylic stock extruder assembly or do I need to mot it?

@mcbride19: I made it in SW. It turned out great and uses one sheet of (4x400x600mm) acrylic sheet and three sheets of (2x300x300mm) acrylic sheet and some m3 screws. I will uploade parts to thingiverse in a couple of days.

I have the square hotend and it worked for me. It mounts to the stock extruder assembly but you will need magnets.

The one thing that I did run into with this fan is that it would melt a bit of how close it was to the hotend.
