Topic: Y-Axis Stopped Working after Stupidity
I've run into a little issue that I'm not sure how I will fix. I was fixing a bad connection for my fan that cools at the print head, and I (not thinking clearly) shorted out my machine (I feel like a total idiot for not disconnecting anything beforehand). It seems like everything is working fine afterwards, though, except for the Y-axis.
Is the board toast? I'm really hoping that I didn't nuke my machine, but I'm prepared to take responsibility for my stupidity. I'm mainly wondering if there are any procedures that I could go through to possibly reset it and/or determine what I fried.
After swapping around the stepper motors, I've determined that the y-axis motor is fine, so the problem seems to be at the board. Is there any way to reset the board? I'm worried that I've caused some major harm, and I'm mainly posting in hopes of someone knowing what to do in this situation. Thank you for your help.
