Topic: can't extract filament

Hello,

I hope I don't ask help for resolved problem but I don't find any solution for all my issue
The origin :

  • I receive my solidoodle 3 last friday

  • I'm on Linux (Archlinux)

  • I use Pronteface to connect printer

  • I'm french and don't realy speak english

Problems :

  • When I connect Pronterface to solidoodle I need to have 115200 bauds in speed configuration (not 250000 like it say in documentation)

  • I heat the nozzle to 200°C and click on reverse : Printer stopped due to errors. Fix the error and use M999 to restart.

  • I try to upload the firmware with 250000 bauds speed set : I don't find reset button, like it say in documentation and have this
    avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding

So, what the next step ? sacrifice a black cat in a church ?

Hi zragg smile welcome to the forum!

HAve you tried to download driver for ftdi device from http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm might help if it is driver issue???

you might post you question in the french section just in case ysb or someone else who speaks french does not see it here, always easier to describe problems in native language smile

for VCP, it's native on Linux now but I don't know how to check if it works well

I forgot to ask you which main board you have as new design should connect at any baud rate .. since you just got the printer it could be the new printrboard style...

Arggg ... all my fault, I don't wait enought.

I have retract the little part of white filament and replace it by the little blue filament ;o))

now I have some problem to center g-code in pronterface interface but I only start the quest of thrut ;o)
