Topic: Fan doesn't turn on

Hey there

Loving soli 2 so far, except our fan never turns on.
The lights turn on however.
Also we've checked the connections with a multimeter and there's no response, so i'm assuming it's a failure in the fan itself? If so, where is the best place to find a fan that will work/fit/have the right about of fanspeed for the solidoodle 2?

I've read a few posts where it has been the polarity. Try switching the fan plug around on the board.

Mine need a little nudge to get going almost every time.  However, you say you've measured that there's no current so probably a bigger problem.

I'd just really like to know where people have bought fan replacements that worked well. Anyone?

Any 40mm computer fan should fit.

I had to replace mine and got a ball bearing fan at the local computer store for $10.00

Ultimaker S3.

Cheap bushing fans will fail, I went thru 3 of them while printing several pounds worth of filament, before finding a Ball Bearing fan.
