Re: use of wood wire LAYWOO-D3 / 1.75 mm

I haven't yet managed to get that damn nozzle separated from the brass barel ... and I tried unscrewing it when the hotend is still hot and so on. I'm really frustrated regarding that. Maybe I should be a bit more forceful now that I have 2 j-head hotends.

Re: use of wood wire LAYWOO-D3 / 1.75 mm

Hi, Hi received my nozle .5, installed it and began to check print.
seems no more clog.

Thanks all for that result.

now I have the following problem and I am looking for the right slic3r conf for Laywoo + .5 nozzle and best possible resolution.

my tries are not fabulous as there is a lot of oozes.
if one of you have an existing S2 conf for slic3r for laywoo with .5 nozzle (or skeinforge) it would be glad ;-)

thanks

Re: use of wood wire LAYWOO-D3 / 1.75 mm

You should just need to change the Nozzle Diameter under Printer Settings->Extruder .

Other than that, you need to also recalibrate your Extruder Flow Rate and adjust accordingly the Filament Diameter and Flow Multiplier under the Filament settings in Slic3r.

Nothing other than that should need to be done, and no one can calibrate the flow-ratio for you as its all very printer specific...

Re: use of wood wire LAYWOO-D3 / 1.75 mm

thanks I am on it.
- step is now correct
- filament diameter also.
doing now some tuning
first layer is too thin to fix everywhere on bed. (I test using ei8htohms calibration cubes)
Which parameter make more material for first layer only ?
