Topic: SD3 => disconnected extruder from board, mintemp triggered. What to do

Like I said in the title, I disconnected the extruder from the board.  When I reconnect it and try to heat the extruder, I get the following message in Repetier: Error:Printer stopped due to errors. Fix the error and use M999 to restart! (Temperature is reset. Set it before starting.)

When I enter M999, it says Extruder turned off, Mintemp triggered!, the display reads that the extruder is at 3 degrees C, and I get a string of error messages that read Error:Line Number is not Last Line Number+1, Last line=(some number). Resend:(some number +1)

I still have power to the extruder though.  Did I just connect something else incorrectly?

Your thermistor is disconnected/not connected properly.

Recheck your connections, and make sure the plugs are fully seated at both ends of the cable.

OK, everything is connected properly, but I'm still getting the same error messages.

Check the connections to the thermistor plug on the extruder end.  It's possible one of those came free from the plug.  You'd just need to make sure that you push it back into the holder, with the power off, of course.

OKay, that didn't work.  All of my connections are very snug and secure.

Then it's very possible that you blew out the thermistor, or it's faulty.  Only way to check that is continuity or replacement.  Thankfully, thermistors are cheap.
