Topic: Fan is on all the time

My fan is on all the time. When I received it, the fan would not work so I called and they said to turn it around on the board and the fan started. Is this supposed to be the way it is?

Make sure it comes on when you start the printer.  Mine needs a little nudge to get going sometimes, and if I don't things get ugly later on in the print when it begins to heat up.

I had problems with my fan so I went to the local computer store and got a ball bearing fan for about $10.00 and it starts every time.

Ultimaker S3.
