Topic: Filament popping noise.

Hello
I am starting to hear popping noise when i print, and i see extruded ABS releasing air immediately after printing.  It doesn't change overall appearing of the print. Is this caused by moisture in the air?

I was wondering, is there anyway i can prevent this "pop", because eventually i want to print finer detail.
how do you guys keep your filament from moisture?

Re: Filament popping noise.

I just keep my extra spools in a tightly closed tote along with a few re-usable silica gel packets (I get the kind that are for gun cabinets and put in extra ones so I can leave them a few months).  When I'm not printing, I temporarily store the "active" one in the tote as well.  That's been enough for me in the summers.
