Topic: Replacement Printed Parts

Now that I've got .1 layer heiight working, I'd like to reprint the parts on my Solidoodle where the print quality is quite lacking.  Any chance we can get the STLs of the Solidoodle 2 printed components?

In support of the 'maker' mentality it would seem only logical that Solidoodle would publish the STLs to repair our units.  If not, then those parts should be made available to owners of these units.

Re: Replacement Printed Parts

Not a chance. Many have asked Soildoodle, they refuse. Which seems dumb since it'd talk an hour to reverse engineer the parts with a set of calipers.

Re: Replacement Printed Parts

Look around here and on thingiverse for parts that been reverse engineered.

SD2 Sanguinololu 1.3a atmega1284p, wood platform, lawsy's carriages, braided fishing line, pallet wood overhead spool mount, carboard/magnet enclosure, glass bed, E3D v6, bed levelling knobs, extended z-stop, 25A DC-DC SSR for bed heater, everything fixed to the SD2 frame, marlin firmware with some adjustments and extra failsafes enabled.  I'll never give up on you, little printer that could(n't)!

Re: Replacement Printed Parts

Dlemmink, please take the opportunity to redesign better parts than what came on your machine. Many have come up with awesome mods, that far far exceed solidoodle originals.
