Topic: Newbie needs help getting started

I'm firing up my Solidoodle for the first time.  I plugged the Solidoodle in to my windows 7 machine.  The drivers installed without issue.  I installed the preconfigured version on Repetier from the Solidoodle website.  Repetier loads just fine.  I clicked the "connect" button in Repetier, and see the word "idle" in the manual control tab.  I clicked the arrows in the manual control tab, but get no motion from the printer.  What am I doing wrong?

repetier is probably connected to a 'virtual printer' not the real printer...

is the numbers next to the arrows changing when you click on the arrows? if so then you need to connect to the real printer via printer settings.

I have to install usb driver to get it to switch out of the virtual printer port into a real port...
