Topic: Soliddoodle3 Finally Calibrated...locks up in middle of print job :(

Hey Guys,
Finally got my solid doodle working.  Finally got it printing a wonderfully calibrated print.  Now onto the next problem.  It just starts spewing out errors like mad.

Then locks up, burns a huge hole through the model it was printing, and I have to disconnect/reconnect it to get it off the model.  Really frustrating and depressing.

Any suggestions?

One off or repeated on other prints?

Repeated on other prints...but usually doesn't lock up on the other prints, and it will usually finish the job.  However the pauses always cause an issue where it will tend to "grab" or leave a bit of plastic on the extruder.  Having read the forums, I'm making sure my com settings are correct to see if that is possibly the issue, but any additional advice would be greatly useful!

I think it might be an out-of-memory error from the electronics. Do you have the stock firmware or Lawsy's? Try setting

#define BLOCK_BUFFER_SIZE 8

in Configuration_adv.h (you need to change it in two places) and reflash the firmware.

You guys can close this thread if you want.  It appears the issue was that my com setting was 256000 instead of 250000.  They should really put that in the initial documentation...
