Topic: Super easy and cheap SD3 Enclosure...

So not the greatest enclosure but It cost me less than $40 and it's super easy put together and it looks presentable on my desk...


(3) 14x14 1/4in Tempered Glass Panels
(1) 14x14 1/4in Acrylic
1 Roll of Tape (I used Painters as I like the Blue and I like that if I need to remove it to make a repair or change it is easy to peel off)
1 Bargain Bin Kitchen handle
2 Small Rare Earth Magnets
1 Printed Solidoodle Logo (I did this to give credit when people see my machine and ask "what is it?")

You can use all Acrylic but I like the glass better and it was actually cheaper at my local glass cutter....

Wow, that is a really nice looking enclosure. I had planned to just hot glue plexi-glass but this is actually much more attractive.

The only thing that is unclear, is the filament feed. Do you feed it in through the back?
Any problems with doing it that way?

None, I actually plan on moving the wiring over to the first hole. But no snagging issues what so ever. Changing filament is a bit tricky but  got used to the tight fit and now it's no big deal.
