Topic: Arduino fans

Hi guys i have a solidoodle 3 and also some problem with a overheating of arduino i want to do something like that: http://www.soliforum.com/post/6706/#p6706 i have just one question, where i can connect the fan's cable? I can connect them to arduino and if yes where exactly? Thanks guys for any type of help big_smile

Check this post from Ian's blog, you can see where the 12V is on the board.

If you look where the LEDs and Extruder fan plug in between the motor drivers, there is one more set of pins between the next pair of drivers.  You can add headers there if there aren't already and power the fan there.

I wired those up to a separate power source.  And everything for the printer plugs into one power strip.
