Topic: Low Frame Rate with new Repetier

I had to reformat my computer and the first thing I did was put all of the 3d printer stuff back on it. I am using the exact same computer as I was before and everything else is the same except for the version of Repetier Host, as I am using the most current version now. I just started my first 3d print since reformatting and everything was the same except there was no option to toggle on and off the travel path for the hot end while printing. I didn't mind that because I normally had it off anyways.
Once I started printing the print got to about layer 5 before I got the message:
14:39:18.283 : Reduced visual quality for better framerates and to protect print quality.
14:39:18.283 : You can disable this in Config->Repetier settings->Behaviour.
14:39:19.696 : Disabled additional filament drawing for better framerates and to protect print quality.
14:39:19.696 : You can disable this in Config->Repetier settings->Behaviour.

It changed the visualization to look really muddy and nothing like the actual object. When I switch tabs between Object Placement, Slic3r, G-Code Editor, and Manual Control, the physical print actually lags for a second before resuming.

Now my FPS which is shown at the bottom of the page is at 2 FPS when before it was anywhere between 600 and 1500. Any idea what could be causing this?

Re: Low Frame Rate with new Repetier

A quick fix is to disable filament visualisation on the top toolbar.

This sometimes happens to me when the computer is doing something else that is really CPU intensive.

Re: Low Frame Rate with new Repetier

why? .. don't tell me that you need the display of the printing that you see in your printer?

just switch off the display function for the print... and wait for the next version
