Topic: Extrusion problem... not extruding fast enough.

Here is a video of the issue:

Any ideas on how to resolve this?

I was doing the Extrusion Calibration where you mark off 100mm, and let it extrude.  Well for mine, it only did 34mm.

EDIT: For some reason the Video Embedding is not working?  Try watch?v=W24I--n9kBM&feature=youtu.be

Re: Extrusion problem... not extruding fast enough.

Was messing with this a bit more and noticed that the Gear shaft for the extruder spins, but the gear itself isn't spinning.  I'm wondering if when it got snagged on a print awhile back, if it created a groove where the screw is on the gear.

I'm waiting on some tools (won't be here until Monday sad ) before I can pull it apart to see.  I'll also be upgrading from the Jigsaw to the MK4.   I'm waiting on a friend to print that for me so I have some time.

You need an allen key, I think it's 1.5mm. Tighten the set screw on the hobbed hub. Print away!

If you are still having trouble after this, extrusion can be slow if the temperature is not set high enough.

I had that happen so I put a little line on the gear so I can see if it stops turning again.  Took me forever to figure it out.

Ok, just adjusted the tightness on the Gear screw and now it passes the Extrusion test (100mm of filament)!  YEAH!

Now going to do a test print and see how that turns out.
