Topic: SD3 arrived broken. Suggestions

Just got my SD3 and was thrilled to open it up to get my printing started. But to my dismay, it came broken! The part underneath the extruder where the 2 long thin bolts going thru just split in half.  I don't think it can be super glued but I will try to get something going when i hear something back from the support team. Waited for 2 months for this thing and this is the last thing you want to deal with.. sad

On a side note, the build quality just isn't that great eventhough it is proudly built in the USA. Really they should think of something to make it more rigid during shipping. I guess what you pay is what you get...

Ouch!! That's too bad

If you really want to try to glue it use ABS glue the kind made for plumbing drain pipe.

They need to stop using UPS IMHO. UPS is too rough with packages. They need to use FedEx with fragile shipping options, mind you, if that broke, there may be a chance that the printed parts were bad, but seriously, UPS is to blame for the majority of broken-on-arrival printers.
