Topic: SD3 Noob: Please Help - Stripped one of Y-Motor Screw
While retrying the "True circle alignment" procedure. I stripped one of the screws that hold the Y-Motor
. Any ideas what can I do about it?

If you just stripped the screw it no big deal, just replace it. Most hardware stores carry a selection of metric screws. If you stripped the hole in the motor that the screw threads into it'll be a little more complicated.

Sadly I just checked and it was the thread of the Y motor. I had a 3mm X 30 of one of my RC Helies and it didn't work. ![]()
If it is a mounting screw unbolt the other screws and rotate the end plate until you get good threaded holes for mounting. The extruder motor only 2 of the 4 screws to hold it together. Its a brushless motor.

Were you able to fix this?
Yes, I did. I got a M3 .5 x 35 socket screw and even the screw sticks out a little it is holding tight.
