Re: Android App for resetting/writing blank ntags
I was also surprised, I don't think a firmware downgrade was necessary.

I've tried all the tools on this thread with a DaVinici Mini W+ on f/w 1.1.9 and none seem to work. I'm using 213 tags and writing them new from blank, filament length set to 200 (and PETG in my case as that's what I'm using). Prints fail to start with a warning about the filament being invalid (i forgot to capture the exact text...). Has anyone had any success with any app and this configuration?

Thanks. I did. No joy. What fw are you on? Did you have to block internet access?
Same issue with tags generated yesterday on a mini w+. Tried downgrading firmware but I think my tags may already be blacklisted now. Gotta get more blanks and try another round... something definitely failed.
I only run the patched non updating version of xyzprint for slicing, and gmover for printing. So I thought my workflow would be fairly bulletproof.
My tags that were initially for 240mm stopped working on my mini w+ with fw version 1.1.9. I just created a new one with 200mm PLA and it worked again.

Do you block internet access? Anything else you have to do to make it work? :-)

I don't block internet access and I don't think there is anything else necessary to make it work as of now.
I set mine to 200mm pla. Just to be in the safe side. I also blocked the internet on the app just to make sure it doesn't give me any unwanted updates on the app. If anyone has a crazy boss store around you and want to get a cheap 3d printer they had some of the xyz da vinci mini for $70 that's where I got mine. I also own an anet e10 and a i3 prusa.
Hello, why did I write the NFC label and paste it on the detection location, but the machine display could not recognize it
junior 1.0 w 2.4.7 cant downgrade and have 1 tag left tried 3 earlier none worked any pointers for last tag

are your tags ntag213 if not they will not work if so then try setting it to 240 meters if you are currently setting it with the old version to 300 meters. this works for my mini maker so if it doesn't work for the 1.0 I do not know what to tell you.
yes they are ntag213 and setting to 200m but i think its the firmware thats changed
Working as usual now with EmuTag, MagicCards, original Tags and blank Tags (Paper Tags)

Well unless you want to flash an older firmware onto your printer which if you do you might a well flash repieter I know that xyz printing has released an official product that lets you print with third party filament, but they are selling it for around $60.

Dear as they are, I tell you that I have 1 xyz Open Smart Tag original chip, I already tried this application and it does not recognize it, it is a classic 1k look, I listen to opinions to see if it is possible to hack, what I can tell you that the software some Once he shows it with a capacity of 1000 meters
Well on my experience, i got one exe file someone updated in the thread from a geniune PTEG tag, load in in a paper tag, authenfied and it work! I compared the one from the app you created when printing the key diffence is the monitor on the nozzle temperature went up to 235 Degrees, which the app version only go up to 220 like the
PLA settings.
I have created wrong parameters (PETG 300m Black) and start printing. After verify printer stops and flashing red light.
Read out the tag and compared. (read before and after)
XYZ write some “garbage” to the pages (4,5,6,7,12,15,16,17) and lock them.

Yes I've downloaded both that one and the one from madman, I've been able to install it on my phone but both apps immediately close as soon as I try and run them, is there a setting I'm missing that is blocking me from running them? I've had lookout running and I'm about to disable it but I can't imagine it's not allowing me to open a app ya know?

So my phone doesn't support NFC maybe that's why but is there anyway to write to a tag with a computer or just with a phone?

Check out the following thread
Ok, so I was having some trouble so I'm going to type out what I've been doing and someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong
Firmware 2.4.7
I open the app to generate new tag on to the paper NFC213 sticker
I put the sticker onto the spool I using after removing the old NFC chip
Go to spool stats "unidentified spool"
Am I missing something?
