Topic: Repetier Crashing Problem?

Has anyone had an issue with Repetier and adjusting the temp.?  When I raise the temp, my job crashes with a marlin message saying temp had been exceeded and to correct then enter M999 to restart?  I thought you could control the temp on this machine to accomate variables in room temp, filiment type etc.  Please help.  Its fine if I leave it at 200, but much over that and crashes.....

Re: Repetier Crashing Problem?

I think I've solved my own problem, am using Kisslicer and it has settings for temp inside the code,  I guess I was exceeding the code I had generated ha ha..  to resolve I put new settings in Kisslicer, higher setting for temp so I can lower in Repitier without any errors happining........

Re: Repetier Crashing Problem?

The error happens when the temp hits 215.  It protects the black PEEK insulator on the hot end from melting.  Keep in mind that when you see temperatures like 230 recommended for other printers, that equates to about 195 on the Solidoodle.  You shouldn't ever need to go over 205.   Keep an eye on the temperature graph in Repetier and make sure you aren't getting the error because the temp is swinging too far past where you have set it.
