Topic: Filawinder High-Pitched Noise

I just finished assembling my Filawinder (yay!), but when I turn it on, everything seems to start up correctly, except for one major detail: turning the knob does not turn the spool. As I turn from the lowest position, it begins to sing a quite B5 (click here and find the note to hear what I'm hearing https://recursivearts.com/virtual-piano/). As I turn the knob, the sound goes away again until I reach the max and it's silent.

Tim emailed me back. To anyone with the same problem: loosen the screws holding the motor to the fram and see if it works then. I had to use some washers (or an extra nut or two) to shorten the distance the screw can go into the motor. Works great now and no high pitched noise!
