Topic: Tools for the sd printers

I've been trying to get together a list of the tools required to work on the ds3 i have and thought this may help others

for the filament pulleu you need a 1.5mm hex key

for the rear set screw you need a 2.5 mm hex i recomend a t handel wrench

For the hot end you ned a 7/32 wrench or a 6.5mm wrench its hard to tell i'm guessing 6.5 mm a 7/32 socket will work the wrenchs are very hard to find and expensive off amazon

A set of tweezers

to remove prints from the bed a pallet knife works very well

Pallet knives can be fount at most art supply stores

What other tools do you use

Re: Tools for the sd printers

There are a ton of things, not just tools even, that need to be handy.

Other stuff you might include in a set up:

Acetone
Calipers
Scribe

Optional stuff that has made my life a world easier when printing and cleaning prints:

Dremel
Whiskey (quantity, not quality in this case)

1/4" Kapton tape is good to have around as well.
