Topic: Da Vinci jr 3in1

Hello all I recently purchased a da Vinci jr 3in1 printer with firmware 1.0.6, I’ve read many posts and I don’t see what options I have as far as using third party filaments so could anyone inform me what options I have using this model and firmware or point me in the right direction thank you

Re: Da Vinci jr 3in1

I would suggest spending a couple hundred more and get a machine that is open source, plenty of online support, and a good supply of parts. This coming from an old XYZ owner. They are cheap for a reason. I also don't believe that this model is well known enough for people to spend time hacking it. You just never hear about this model much.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!
Anycubic 4MAX best $225 ever invested.
Voxelabs Proxima SLA. 6 inch 2k Mono LCD.
Anycubic Predator, massive Delta machine. 450 x 370 print envelope.

I do agree with Carl, but will see if we can help.

Does your printer use the same filament as the JR and MINI? If so you should look at one of those solutions. There are many posted in this forum.

Re: Da Vinci jr 3in1

I am fairly certain I use the same filament type of the earlier jr models. The filament spools have a chip in the middle. Would buying paper nfc tags be the easiest method I was hoping I can use the method where you edit the gcode while your tag is on 0 but I tried this morning with no luck . Any help at all would be appreciated

Re: Da Vinci jr 3in1

Android phone that read and write NFC card and paper NFC tag is currently the easiest method I think. The cost to try if it works on your machine is also minimal. I would recommend you try this method first and ask questions in corresponding post if need any help.
