Topic: turn around time? (Replaced parts)

just curious if any of you have had to send parts back for replacemet from the solidoodle crew...

and if so, how long it took them to get you the replacement part...

I had to ship back the main board a couple weeks ago, and still haven't gotten any news on a replacement yet, and I'm starting to wonder if this is normal...

email them and ask, they are usually pretty responsive to emails.

I just ordered some spare nozzles on Saturday and I got a notice this morning that they shipped.  Can't complain.

It depends on if they have the parts in stock and if other orders for those parts are ahead of you.  For the hot end it depends on if they have enough to build the printers for orders I would think, so they won't get too far behind in those.  Filament could be out of stock, I know they are out of black.

Took like 3 weeks and a few emails before they shipped my hotend.

Yeah I had a very long wait over Christmas break for my heat core replacement which I was extremely frustrated about.  I figure on the items that are in stock in the plastic bins that they can just grab and send.

If you're asking for a replacement part it's not in their normal ordering system most likely so I would just keep calling to make sure the request is not lost on someone's desk or inbox.

I placed two orders in January, Each one took two weeks and an email to support to "remind" them of my orders which they stated they normally ship on Tuesday and Thursday.

I'll give them a poke again to see what's up.

Re: turn around time? (Replaced parts)

very cool, got a call today... the delay wasn't a parts problem, but a shipping thing...

because my school's printer was a donation ordered for us,
they didn't have the right address on file and didn't want to accidentally ship it to the wrong place...
