Topic: Filament Cartridge Resetter/Controller and 3rd party filament

I just got into 3d printing I have a da Vinci 1.0a and had a few questions. I've ordered a resetter so I can use 3rd party filament  and I have also ordered the filament. The ones I have order below. These all should work other then changing the temp setting when printing PLA?

HATCHBOX PLA 3D Printer Filament, Dimensional Accuracy +/- 0.03 mm, 1 kg Spool, 1.75 mm, Black
HATCHBOX ABS 3D Printer Filament, Dimensional Accuracy +/- 0.03 mm, 1 kg Spool, 1.75 mm, Red
HATCHBOX 3D ABS-1KG1.75-BLU ABS 3D Printer Filament, Dimensional Accuracy +/- 0.03 mm, 1 kg Spool, 1.75 mm, Blue
HATCHBOX ABS 3D Printer Filament, Dimensional Accuracy +/- 0.05 mm, 1 kg Spool, 1.75 mm, Green

Any other tips or advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Filament Cartridge Resetter/Controller and 3rd party filament

My tip is to not bother resetting chips at all, really, try http://www.soliforum.com/topic/16565/ho … pdated-11/ , it works on other da vinci also.

But you have da vinci that you can flash to repetier firmware which is simplest solution for you. I flashed my da vinci 2.0, works beautiful . I suggest only to lower acceleration of motors to let say 700 instead of 1000, printer works much smoother. There are manuals how to do flashing, really simple.
