But you have da vinci that you can flash to repetier firmware which is simplest solution for you. I flashed my da vinci 2.0, works beautiful . I suggest only to lower acceleration of motors to let say 700 instead of 1000, printer works much smoother. There are manuals how to do flashing, really simple.

I've ordered a resetter so I can use 3rd party filament  and I have also ordered the filament. The ones I have order below. These all should work other then changing the temp setting when printing PLA?
