Topic: Simple Plexiglas Bed
So, I bought this old DaVinci Jr Wifi a while ago and the previous owner made a mod, which i replicated. Its really simple;
You make four small corners that attach to the existing bed, with screws, and install a precisely cut piece of semi-flexible plexiglas. On top of this, you can put anything you want; I've used BuildTak here in the picture (and with residue glue).

Previously, BuildTak was gripping too much on my models, and if it was on top of the glass-plate on the Davinci bed, almost impossible to get out. Also, using a spatular, I had to use so much force I thought i might break the entire printer. However, with this, I just take off the plexiglas, and bend it just enough, to the models to loosen its grip.
There is a small bend in the plexiglas on the above image, from what i do think is when the materials contract - either that or I just forgot to "unbend it" last time i used it (i tend to bend it flat from time to time). However it has never caused an issue with my prints.
Really really simple mod, seen here below - just four pieces. I can find the .stl's as soon as i get access to my old computer again ![]()
