Topic: room temp vs bed temp

If the ambient room temp is about 68 say , that being a bit cool. Should the bed  temp be set higher than normal? ( I have it at 101 now)

SD3, E3D hotend,linear bearing on x/y axis',pillow block bearing on y conneting rod, ball bearngs on front y axis, fan on y stepper motor.

Not necessary, but you should consider enclosing your build environment, even if it's plexiglass and magnets or even cardboard would work.  Warping and peeling all but vanish after doing this.
