Topic: SD3 Noob: Wiring Guide Printing Issues

Hello,

I printed the wiring guide and after it was done printing I noticed some gaps. I am using white filament and setting up the head temperature to 200 and the platform to 105 (I noticed that I had to increase the platform temperature for the white filament, green was ok at 100). Also, I had to set the first layer to 50% speed because at 75% the filament was not sticking to the platform.

Ambient temperature is 63 degrees (F).

Any help will be very much appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help.

From the pic it looks like the layers are not sticking together.  From what I have seen that is caused by now heat or printing too slow and previous layer is too cold to allow proper sticking on next layer.

Re: SD3 Noob: Wiring Guide Printing Issues

I changed the printing speed and I confirmed that the head was set at 200(C), I also installed some cardboard panels to avoid any air flow and keep it warm, but as you can see I still have the same issue.

Any help will be very much appreciated, thanks!

Try printing it in two pieces. Scale the y axis by .5 and print two copies.

I think you are getting some warping by the end which is causing your splits later on in the print.
