Topic: Da Vinci Jr extruder clicking with 3rd party filament

Even if I push more filament so that theres a lot of it to use inside the case that it can easily pull, it still clicks. I've tried +/- 2mm in 0.5mm increments on the Z height and it still clicks on all of the layers on each different height. I have the emutag with the spool on the side of the case feeding in through a hole I drilled but it still seems to happen with stock filament for some reason.

Re: Da Vinci Jr extruder clicking with 3rd party filament

In my experience, the extruder clicking but printing is ok suggest the extruder extrude too much filament to fast. try to reduce the extrusion rate from 100% to 90% or even lower.

However, if the extruder clicking but printing is not ok, then your 3rd party filament might require higher temperature than 210C that Da Vinci Jr uses by default. In that case, change the printing temperature in G-code to find optimal temperature for your filament.

Switch between 3rd party filament and stock filament may jam your extruder, that may also cause clicking noise, make sure your filament can go through the print head smoothly by cleaning the print nozzle.
