Topic: Selling off printer parts

Hey all, I'm hoping this is the correct forum to post this.

I'm sure a lot of you saw the posts back when this happened, but I have a Da Vinci 1.0 that I shorted the motherboard on and fried. I was debating fixing it but I've since upgraded to a Powerspec 3D Pro (got it for an absolute STEAL at $460 for the floor model + two half-used spools of filament!!) and now there's no reason to go back to the Da Vinci.

I'm parting out the machine, so I have any and all parts available for cheap if you guys want 'em. Any steppers, assemblies, whatever you want. I have 2 nozzles - one is the stock one that came with the machine, the other is a brand new one I bought and added heatsinks to for PLA, and the 2 prints I ran it with worked like a charm.

Looking for $40+shipping for the original nozzle (and I'll throw in a couple copper heatsinks so you can sink it yourself for PLA), and $50+shipping for the new nozzle that's already sinked up.

Anything else, heated beds, rods, bearings, springs, carriages, motors, etc - just lemme know what you want and we can figure out a price.

Cheers!
Andy

Re: Selling off printer parts

Hey Andy

I'm interested in your bed assembly less the heater element/glass.

I would also like one of your oval windows if you're willing to sell just one?

Thanks,

John

Re: Selling off printer parts

I might be in need of your wiring harness to the breakout board on the head. How much would you be thinking for that?

Re: Selling off printer parts

I'd be interested in the whole thing.  Even if you sold the heated bed and the hotend.

Re: Selling off printer parts

I think I've PMed everybody back who messaged me or commented here, but for anyone else who's interested I wanted to make a couple disclaimers here:

1. The unit is already totally disassembled. The frame is all taken apart into 3 piles - plastic shell pieces, metal frame pieces, and everything else (screws, bearings, etc).  So if you're not looking for a 1,000 piece puzzle to put back together, this might not be worth it to you. :-)

2. Just to re-state clearly, the motherboard, as far as I can determine, is dead. There's a hard short between the 3.3v line and ground that I haven't been able to track down. As far as I know, everything else should be fine.

3. I don't know what it would cost to ship a whole box full of the parts, but I know it'll be pretty darn expensive. When I got shipping quotes a few months ago when I was considering getting it repaired by XYZ, FedEx and UPS both wanted almost $200 to ship it (although granted, that was in a fully assembled state). My guess would be anywhere from $80-$150 to ship it now, plus whatever we'd decide is a fair price for the parts. Between that and the extensive time it'd take to reassemble the whole thing, it'd probably be a better buy to just get a new unit from Amazon.

4. Some of the plastic shell pieces have holes cut in them. The left side plastic shell and the top lid have both been cut up to allow for fan switches and external filament spools.

Thanks for the interest from everyone so far!

Re: Selling off printer parts

Hi there.
Would it be possible to post some pictures of what you have left, along with a price for each part? Also, is PayPal acceptable to you?

Congrats on your new steal of a deal too.

Re: Selling off printer parts

Hey Fantome! Thanks, and yeah - I'm so excited about this Powerspec printer.  For those who aren't familiar, it's the exact same machine as the Flashforge Creator Pro, which is a great machine that runs about $1400. The Powerspec 3D pro has different badges but it's exactly the same machine - it even comes with the same manual as the Flashforge. Micro Center sells it for $800 new, and I snagged the floor model that had only had about 20 hours of printing on it for $460. I was actually there to buy some parts for my Da Vinci, but I saw it there and I had to take it. :-)

I'm pretty sure they thought they were scamming me because the printer was BADLY out of tune - drooping X belt, unleveled bed, ripped kapton tape, and a clogged nozzle. It obviously wasn't going to be printing a thing - but I got it home and after about 45 minutes I had it printing like a dream. I went from devastated over my broken Da Vinci to the happiest person in NJ in about 10 minutes flat.

Anywho, I'll post some pictures tomorrow of the remaining Da Vinci parts and mark off everything that's spoken for.

Cheers!
Andy

Alright, here are the pics of the part pile. http://imgur.com/a/12J4c

I've also got the LCD module around here somewhere (sans ribbon cable), I just can't find it at the moment.

Lemme know if you want to claim anything else! I'll sell both nozzles together for $80 + shipping if someone wants them both.

Re: Selling off printer parts

I would like to put this out there that I am in the same boat and have recently purchased a reprap and am parting out the da vinci 1.0A. Seems like several people are interested in the same parts so if anybody is still in need and LeoDuhVinci has already sold it send me a PM with what you are wanting and make an offer. If I still have it then we can arrange payment and shipping.

I have everything except a few things.

Things I do not have

  • Motherboard: Fried after shorted hot end and horrible repair job attempted

  • 1 side handle cap: broken tab, other one is still fine

Things modded

  • Extruder carriage: has cut out for e3d mod. Can still be used in stock configuration

  • Hotend: Stock connector has been removed (bare wires) and thermistor cable resoldered back to jst connector from e3d mod.

Extras

  • Extra set of stepper motors: One set is stock with stock extruder gear, the other is stock with the extruder gear removed and was used for mk7 and mk8 gears.

Re: Selling off printer parts

Hey, I am looking to sell my DaVinici 1.0, it is broken, the extruder won't heat up, and I get error messages, I don't have the time to fix it myself. I am willing to sell it for $300 ( I paid about 500 for it) all the motors work, the bed heats up just fine. I am willing to through in about 900g of black, red and blue Abs filament.
