yes, that is a good place to start.
you will also want to calibrate for the filament being used if you have not done that. every spool of filament will be a little different, even 2 spools of the same brand & color will vary.

you may also need to adjust the vref for the extruder motor (voltage setting) - E3D hotends are more sensitive to over-voltage than the stock hotends are, and 250C is a little on the high side. I typically run ABS at about 235C (+/- a couple degrees) on my v6s
