Topic: Y-Axis binding

Anyone have issues with the Y-Axis binding?

Mine just started to do it.  With the motors off, it is also much harder than it should be to move.

I can't really see anything wrong though.

Ideas?

Thanks!

Re: Y-Axis binding

make sure both setscrews are tight and not slipping on the back rod the (two outer most toothed pulleys) if either one of these setscrews becomes loose it could let the axis bind.

also have you checked if a little grease helps smile

Re: Y-Axis binding

I had this problem right out of the box on my SD3 yesterday.  I ended up adjusting the belt on the top left.  I took it off, made sure the extruder was exactly square and put the belt back on.  No problems ever since.

Same here, I had to adjust the belts tension yesterday right out the box.
