Topic: Connector for Heated Bed

My heated bed just stopped working yesterday.  I took the board off this morning and found a bad connector from the bed to the board.  Where can I find this kind of connector. Image is attached. It appears to be a 1 amp fused JST connector, but I have searched on Google and have not been able to find a match.

Thanks,

Re: Connector for Heated Bed

It's not fused, I believe.  JST connector from Pololu #1934 works fine.  They are about 1.00 for 2 or 3 in a bag.

Re: Connector for Heated Bed

Thanks for information. I picked up a JST connector today and will replace it.  Do you know how many ohms you should get when testing the wires to the heated bed?  My multimeter is reading about 4ohms if I am looking at it correctly.

Thanks,
Kevin

Re: Connector for Heated Bed

At four ohms that's 36 watts.  Not exactly great but should still work.  I don't know exactly what wattage those are claimed to be.

Re: Connector for Heated Bed

I looked it up on the RCgroups.com website as the are used for RC planes. They can handle 5 amp continuous according to the guys on that site. Can also be used for up to 10 amps for short periods. I am going to fix tomorrow and monitor it a few time to be safe.

Re: Connector for Heated Bed

I was referring to the heater itself, the connector will be fine.
