Topic: Bed Settings

Hi all, just registered to the forums as i am pulling my hair out, I have had so much trouble with my Da Vinci 2.0a and its prints.

When I first got it, it printed a full 8 inch Fallout 3 vault boy no problems, and an Arnie bust that was as wide as the bed..but now..all i get is scraping..I've tried to adjust the printer bed manually, im seriously thinking of throwing it away..really p==sing me off now..

what are the optimum height settings for the printer bed,, my bed is level but just too high, it scrapes everything..someone please explain in English, thanks.

Optimal height should be half of your desired layer height or .10 to .15mm in general. If you did try .1 layers then you would want .05. There is a manual procedure at the top of the XYZ section.

I've read that, but every time i get a pass on the calibration it still scrapes, the bed height is wrong. how do i adjust the bed height?

nope, i got a success pass on the calibration after using the amazon phone app,

i got readings of...

226  ---239, 221, 236

what are these meant to say, there are no guidelines on what they should be, 245 or 295? im totally confused...i thought id try one more print after it said success/pass,, nope.. didnt lay the test strip properly and it clogged the nozzle again..im beyond fed up now..literally want to throw it out of the window..

i need distance between the nozzle and bed..

Those are mm in decimal. 295 would be .295mm which is way to high. The built in system is wrong as it does not know what layer height you are using. Most of us stopped using it from day one.
