Thanks, Ash.  My latest update is that XYZ finally got back to me and is cooperating. Amazing what happens when you file a BBB claim and utilize social media.  Here's what I've discovered:

1. I am supposed to use the extra wires that came with the new nozzle.  Now before issuing a "DUH!" towards me, wait for point #3.

2. She asked if I followed the directions in installing the new nozzle which would tell me to use the new wires. I stated negative as there were no instructions with the parts.  They forgot to include them.

3.  Wait for it.............the two wires they sent me do NOT have the correct connectors to attach to the motherboard.  The connectors work correctly at the nozzle, but not at the MB. I sent them pictures showing old wire, new wire and motherboard connection point.  I have been asked to wait three business days while they figure it out as she says I have too new of aprinter and the wires are made for the older version.

If your old wires to the extruder are not damaged you really don't have to change it.  If the thermistor is your problem you can just swap them. And if it is your wiring you can use just the plugs from the old wiring and swap out the wires that are bad.

Re: New extruder and nozzle, but stuck at 10 degrees C. No power to nozzle

FOUND OUT A FIX

I was troubleshooting with a multimeter and had the following "clues"

  • Thermistor was correct resistance

  • Bypassing thermistor with 10k resistor did not change temperature

  • No voltage to thermistor

After a firmware update, I narrowed the problem down to the hardware. Since the thermistor seemed as if it wasn't hooked up at all, I checked the motherboard by opening the back panel.

Sure enough, there it was. A loose connector. (I was originally looking for a fuse). I pushed it in and the printer loaded normally. I'm so happy smile
