The bed has lost its home position. When I go to start a print, the hot end is way above the bed. This is from a test file on the Da Vinci's SD card, so it's not using any incorrect Z Offset in Slic3r. How do I get this thing back in order?

Z home is determined by the endstop and then the bed level you have adjusted. If necessary you may need to back the bed level down to the minimum then send a home command and see where that gets you. If you are then above the bed as you should be, just calibrate your bed height then. If your Z is more than a few MM off then you have a command in your firmware overriding the Z endstop. Since it does this with a test file that rules out a setting in slicer or your start gcode as you said.

Do you mean the endstop sensors like x and y have?
Oh. When you say back the bed back down to minimum, you mean turn all of the leveling screws in the minus direction to lower it?

I figured it out. Thanks! Hey, what does saving to the EEPROM actually do in this situation? When I got the settings right, I save it to the EEPROM. Since it's manually adjusted with screws, not sure what this does. Thanks.
Save to eeprom sets all the settings like steps per mm, acceleration, move speeds, temps limits, and so on to EEPROM and those settings once saved will override firmware settings regardless of what you set them to and then flash.
