Elmers Purple Disappearing Glue - print stuck hard to glass bed

Generic glue is fine. I use it all the time. It is all essentially the same stuff.

I occasionally have the same problem. If you have a removable glass plate (which it sounds like you do), the glue is made to wash off the hands of kids easily in the sink. Use warm water and the glue will turn purple again, and then eventually wash off. You can also wash the residue off the bottom of your print. Just don't make it too hot.

I also bought a 4" paint scraper. I will slide this under the corner of a print and gently work it until the print comes free. BE VERY CAREFUL! Without securing the glass, you do not want to cut your other arm. Sometimes when the prints are cool, I have to give a stiff, short jab at the base to get under the print. Sometimes they will pop clean off.

Additionally, if you use ABS and let it cool sufficiently, it will usually pop off on its own because it shrinks just a little as it cools.

I just use a large Exacto knife shaped like a chisel. I git it under one corner then gradually slid it in further. The blade is thin enough it causes no warping. If I need to I will do the same on a different corner.

i use single edge razors (bought a 100 pack at local home improvement store) to get under an edge or corner of a print to work it loose all the time - just use a bit of common sense with them - they are very sharp after all. =P
