Topic: Elmers Purple Disappearing Glue - print stuck hard to glass bed
Hi,
I have started using a glue that as far as I can see is the same as Elmers Purple Disappearing Glue. I can't get Elmers because they don't stock it in the UK but this stuff seems to be identical barring the text on the gluestick.
Anyway, it sticks the PLA print to the glass really well, no more curling... However getting it off can be a problem.
I have had some limited luck with tapping it off with the handle of a screwdriver but prints with a larger contact area with the glass get stuck hard. I have tried putting it (with the glass) in warm water overnight but with no luck and I poured 90 celcius water over it this morning to try to remove it but ended up warping the print.
Any better ideas? I have broken two glass plates so far and am going to go and buy a stock of them but obviously it would be better if I could just get the print off the glass reliably.
