Topic: I CANNOT GET MY 2.0 DUO PRINTER TO PRINT SUCCESSFULLY after REPETIER
Ever since I installed the Repetier Firmware on my davinci 2.0 duo, I have been unable to get it to make a nice clean print It's been weeks now! At this point I really regret going to this firmware and wish there was some way I could take it back to xyz's firmware and just run it how I had been (consistently really good prints that I was happy with).
I have literally tried to adjust every setting there is on the slic3r configuration and the printer configuration.
This is what it does when printing a 2 inch by 2 inch cube; it gets the bed to the proper height, then goes on to where it will start to lay down the skirt and for the first couple centimeters of the skirt, nothing comes out of the nozzle! after those few centimeters it starts to spew out the filament but very inconsistently (blob of filament(hair-thin strand)blob of filament(hair-thin strand)blob of filament. Then while finishing what is supposed to be the skirt, it continues on to make the outline of the cube except that it does the exact same thing. if I ignore all of this (and the fact that the skirt and the rim of the square are now partially moving around and embedding themselves in the first layer of infill), it continues on to add filament into the first layer in what seems like a much more consistent "flow". However, in the middle of this layer of infill (towards the middle of the cube), the printed material starts to bend up and make the next layer of infill do the same until i have a pocket developing within the first layer.
Before I used to just let all of this happen and see how it would build the perimeter walls but even those were riddled with holes where the filament briefly failed to come out of the nozzle. This happens at least one every layer.
I'm really lost when it comes to finding a solution for this. I thought today would be the day it would work well because I finally got around to drying out the filament in the over for hours since I though maybe moisture was my problem. I've tried playing with the extrusion multiplier but that didn't help, I tried changing my first layer height and still no difference, I have checked the calibration after each failed attempt and it's still fine. I keep the bed completely clean of glue before applying a new layer of it before a new print too. I have even cleaned the nozzles a dozen times thinking maybe they were just clogging but their both just as they should be.
Maybe somebody can point me in the right direction? This really sucks, I've wasted so much time and material trying to adjust settings and other things but nothing is helping me. I'll be posting up some pictures of failed attempts as soon as I get them on my computer in a few minutes.
I just want my printer to run at least how it was before I switched to repetier firmware..
