Topic: Rumba - Print bed

hi,

After several problems, I changed the board to Rumba.
I have some problems to setup, but I have to fix one by one. Here's the first one:

- Print bed doesn´t heat; is the wiring correct (see picture)?
- If I connect the bed heater to the extruder pins and select "heat extruder", the bed heats.

Thanks in advance.

That is good test, so obviously your bed heater works.  I'm not familiar with the Rumba, but you need to check the output.  Either the MOSFET is bad, or some firmware setting is wrong.

Hopefully someone familiar with that board can help.

To print or, 3D print, that is the question...

Re: Rumba - Print bed

You do the first connection pictured if you simply made an error drawing your colors.
Red should be positive and black should be negative.  If you actually wired it with the polarity reversed as in the photo, you'll need to correct it.  I can't say if having the polarity reversed would damage the board or not.

The connection is ok (I made an error drawing the colours).
What I have to check more?

Re: Rumba - Print bed

I thought the bed is basically a straight wire no (+, -)

This is an old thread and pictures have been changed.  You are correct in that bed heater wires have no polarity.  The HB PWR connections (power into the board) do need the correct polarity.
