Topic: Using Newer Repetier 1.5.4 ?

Still using 1.06 w/ CuraEngine slicer. Get near perfect prints, though I run it slow, 25mm/s.

I see 1.5.4 is using a newer CuraEngine.

Anyone changed to the newer update ? Any noticeable improvements ?

I think most Da Vinci users are moving to Simplify3d simply because the reults are worth the price and it supports the Da Vincis directly.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!

i use 1.5.4 works fine.

Did any of you guys notice a improvement in the slicing with support structures, especially the grid type? I was thinking of upgrading if possible.

As the ole adage goes, If it aint broke dont fix it. Everythings dialed in, so Ill stick w/ previous version.

But, yea, supports suck. Ill use B9 Creator, if not satisfied then, Ill place them manually. Havent tried Craftware.
