Topic: Z-Axis Calibration for Octoprint after installing E3Dv6 hotend
Very recently I finished converting to the E3Dv6 hotend with the Bowden mounted extruder motor.
I used SoliPrint to perform the z-axis calibration. After that I could see that it had sent M851 with the new Z offset and when I used M500 the new value was shown. Printing works with Soliprint. However if I print by running Slic3r and Octoprint then my Z offset isn't used.
Before the conversion I was printing with OctoPi. It's possible that my Z offset wasn't used and I didn't notice but I did have several successful or almost-successful prints.
Some other posts refer to M212 in Marlin firmware for this purpose. Do I need to do that as well? Or maybe there's some G-code preamble that I should add to my slicer?
