			<title><![CDATA[Z-Axis Calibration for Octoprint after installing E3Dv6 hotend]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>Very recently I finished converting to the E3Dv6 hotend with the Bowden mounted extruder motor. </p><p>I used SoliPrint to perform the z-axis calibration. After that I could see that it had sent M851 with the new Z offset and when I used M500 the new value was shown. Printing works with Soliprint. However if I print by running Slic3r and Octoprint then my Z offset isn&#039;t used. </p><p>Before the conversion I was printing with OctoPi. It&#039;s possible that my Z offset wasn&#039;t used and I didn&#039;t notice but I did have several successful or almost-successful prints.</p><p>Some other posts refer to M212 in Marlin firmware for this purpose. Do I need to do that as well? Or maybe there&#039;s some G-code preamble that I should add to my slicer?</p>]]></description>
