Topic: bed temp not going over 80°c

hi,

I did upgrade to e3d v6,

I did follow the instruction on this post

http://www.soliforum.com/topic/7917/e3d … intrboard/

everything went well, after flashing I did try a print, but found out issus with the print bed, crashing repetier when turn on,

solved the issus backtracking the problem to the main psu not plugged,

so I did plug the psu (400w)

and started again,

did notice that the bed heating slower than usual, then peaked at 80° ish sometime going a tiny bit over max 85...

I did check all the setting in repetiter i could find, the bed won't go over 80, I did check with an infrared termistor

I only print with abs, a glass bed and hairspray, normaly with 100-110°c i really never had sticking issus,
now Nothing stick, exept when i use abs glue, but it is a pain to clean and use.

Your power supply is bad. Measure the out put while the bed and hot end are heating. If it is not 12 volts or 24 volts depending on your machine then it is bad and not supply enough power any longer.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!

Without the extruder heating will the bed reach 105?

Re: bed temp not going over 80°c

No, the bed stay a 80°c

one strange thing, is that i updated repetier, and the default value for the bed has 80°c
like it is reading this value from firmware.

I realy think it's a firmware value, the psu is fine, it's a 400w,

http://www.reprap-3d-printer.com/produc … y-12v-400w

I aslo did a test run just before firmware upgarde and exept the fact that the hotend did get past 250°c everything was fine.

If you think it's a firmware issue then post a screenshot of your configuration.h

Re: bed temp not going over 80°c

hi a quick update,

first I flashed back the original firmware, still had problem,

then I read back the different post to help me, (without my knowning all attitude....)

unpluged the hothend from motherboard ,  bed was working fine.

so  corrected the soldering of the connection

working like a charm. now I have some serious printing to do ...

thanks you thought.
