Are you guiding the filament in a way that it maintains a gentle curve all the way from nozzle to Filawinder? You could try adjusting the temperature and amount of cooling (how much of the fan is exposed controls how much cooling the filament receives right after coming out of the nozzle) and see if that has any effect.

I actually didn't even think about moving the fan to see how it may change it. I will tinker with that a little. I will probably just mount it vertically otherwise. The first pound I let spool on the ground and it went great. Thank you.

Tips on loading the Filawinder Horizontally

First off, love my new Filastruder, working fantastic. I absolutely can not manage to load the Filawinder. My issue is that after many tries I can't keep the filament from twisting at the nozzle. I have tried moving them closer and farther to try and increase the weight of the filament so that it wouldn't kink upwards but it always seems to twist coming out of the nozzle upwards. Vertical seem much easier and I may make the transition if needed but would rather get it running as is. I haven't seen a video of a horizontal configuration and would love to see any photos.
