ABS - extruder @ 225°C, bed at 60°C (higher depending on size of print)
PLA - extruder @ 215°C, bed at 45°C
I guess this will vary from brand to brand though.

This where the profiles in S3D come in handy.
I have different profiles for different types of filament.

use ESUN filament 220°C use extruder 60°C bed....
I have to quickly cool the outgoing filament ...
you have or think to use such parts on the head?

THX help scobo
I offer Belgian beer!
I use this one .... http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:529837
I use it when printing small or thin parts.
Thanks for the beer.
for ABS normally when the FAN must be off it does not turn?
use simplify3d
I tried everything always FAN ON?
thx
Sorry, don't quite follow you.
Do you mean the fan comes on but you don't want it to ?
I do not feel that the FAN on the extruder running!
but hey I find the solution by removing the fan plug
If you save your print as a factory file then upload it here, I could take a look at your Simplify3d settings.
There must be something turning the fan on at some point.

The fan on the Da Vinci unless you have modified the extruder to something else is not a layer fan and should always be on. It's purpose is to cool the actual extruder and feed tube. The printer is mad for ABS and the fan/extruder in stock form will have no impact on printing ABS. Do not turn it off or you will damage the extruder and motor.
me FFF setting simplif3d ABS fan problem ?

oups ! I reconnect the plug!
So if I understand with DaVinci 1.0 and firmware repetier fan must always turned even with ABS?
As Carl says, it won't affect your prints anyway so there's no advantage in turning it off.
Although, I turn mine off in order to get the extruder up to temp quicker then turn it on as soon as it reaches the required temp.
ok..
another beer for CARL

That is correct. I think your confusion is with what people say about PLA. With PLA they recommend you turn your layer fan off for the first one or two layers. This is for PLA only. For ABS you can but normally dont use a layer fan. The Da Vinci 1.0 in stock form unless modified like Scobo did or with a hotend remake can not print PLA and that is why it does not have s layer fan.
Again the stock fan is to cool the feed tube and extruder so heat soak does not make it hot enough to prematurely melt filament and cause grinding or jams.
the fan always turns with the same rpm? for example if I active the bridging option 100% fan I would have a difference?

There is no control of that fan, the Repetier firmware does not have access to the pins that operate that fan. Just stop trying to control it and don't worry about what it does. It will not hurt your print for it to run all the time.
Interesting info!
Thanks
I got some woodfill last night, colorfabb brand.
Print it with mostly PLA settings? Is 35mm/sec speed ok?
From what I read, you can't let it sit in the extruder long.
You should be ok with those settings.
I use Fillamentum Timberfill these days, seems a bit easier to print.
I have retraction set at 4mm as you get a lot of stringing with it, I would think Woodfill will be similar.
Etxremely difficult time with this stuff today. Turns out I have Esun brand.
I think 4mm retraction was my issue, as the heatbreak of the v6 ended up getting clogged half way through the print.
You really gotta keep this stuff flowing fast!
