:).
Hey, there is an autodesk supported artist from some european country, I believe netherlands?, that is using a 5 axis arm and some form of welding to make kinda crappy but kinda interesting "prints." That's sorta FDM-ish.
Want the bronze fill...must have...
Very excited by that bronze one, especially when polished. Thanks for the link.
Wonder what special new things you can print in bronze.....
You can preorder the bronzeFill now http://colorfabb.com/bronzefill#.U49L29go9D8
So tempting except I'm in the states and the shipping is quite pricey. I might do it anyways even if a spool ends up costs waaay too much.
Clearly the benefit of this is getting a bronze look, the drawback is that you need to polish it and thus will likely lose much detail.
I'll buy a spool once I start an off shore bank account to sneak it past the wife
This Color fab bronzefill is out now for it's beta run. I will be getting some from PrintedSolid(a US reseller of colorfabb) once they get some in a few weeks. This stuff is 80% bronze powder/20% PLA and something like 3 to 4 times heavier then PLA.
There is stuff on twitter about it including some sample prints. I can't wait to get my hands on this stuff!

Once I have it in my hands...I'll do some testing
I'm quite excited. I should have some of this stuff by the end of the week!
I'm totally looking forward to your results...if it's as good as advertised, I'm gonna pick up a spool.
How long has the wait been for you to get it (so far)?
Not long of a wait. It came out from Colorfabb about 2.5 weeks ago (in the Neatherlands). The US Distrbuter PrintedSolid took some orders last week and they mailed them out yesterday. I will probbaly get some in my hands on Thursday.
There is post processing needed to make it shine. I have heard people using sandpaper, dremmel tool, and/or rock polisher for the sanding; And for the polishing metal polish, ketchup etc.
Here is a quick How to print with Bronzefill link http://learn.colorfabb.com/print-bronzefill/
* I am gonna have to learn about antique patina and metals. That effect looks wicked.
Nice! Thanks for the link. The "antique copper" treatment looks snazzy.
Do you have a link for the US distributor?
*I brought some t-glase and the woodfill from them previously with no problems.
It is pricey stuff...but hopefully worth it.
750g spool was about $67
1.5kg spool was about $100
He don't have it one his site yet but taken from thier twitter AKA @PrintedSolid just yesterday...
"Woohoo! limited amount of @colorfabb #bronzefill in stock for US shipments. DM or http://www.printedsolid.com/contact/ to order
"
It seems Printed Solid now added it to their products. http://www.printedsolid.com/shop/175-3/bronze/
I'll have some tomorrow in my hands and soon I can begin some testing (which I'll post results in the Filiment forum as I get them)...muhahahaa..did this call for an evil laugh? I don't know, but it seemed right somehow haha
muhahahaa..did this call for an evil laugh?
Evil laughs are always welcome.
NOTE: Apprently the Bronzefill is now mostly out of stock till the end of Aug. I'll have to make my roll last hehe
** I have been playing with this material and I LOVE it, especially since now I have the settings down- > http://www.soliforum.com/topic/7012/col … ronzefill/
Nice filaments...good stuff indeed! I am also investigating to get some of these to my shop.
